Bringing Some Around.

I am pleased to say a couple friends are getting turned to the dark side. After some previous frustration in this regard a couple marks in the win column were sorely needed. One friend called me to say he picked up four more mags for his Glock 17 in addition to a drop holster. He is going to pick up a couple more at some point to take the total to 10 full capacity mags. This is the number we both see as a good stopping point when it comes to pistol mags. Some thing fewer are fine and others want to have a lot more but to each their own. Get as many as it takes to make you get all warm and fuzzy then purchase a couple more. In the not that distant future he is going to start stocking up on AK mags.

Another friend who is completely non paranoid has gotten caught in the tractor beam of my paranoia via this blog. She is moving toward some level of preparadness from a completely average (very low) level of readiness. My thoughts on the specific steps she should take will be a post in the very near future. I planned to write it tonight but that just didn't happen.

I've got some guest article stuff sitting in the Gmail but it is getting saved for next week when I won't be around. Hopefully tomorrow I can start getting caught up on reading.

I have a Glock 27. It fires the .40 cal slugs. I find the mags for $32 everywhere I've looked so far. Anybody know where I might find some cheaper used ones, maybe?

I haven't shopped specifically for G 27 mags. The used mags market is pretty much dried up as of late, at least as far as I can tell. You should be able to find Glock mags for around 25 bucks from CDNN investments. I've been seeing Glock mags in stores for more like $30. It would be worth going to cdnn investments if you were going to buy 3-4 or more mags or wanted to get some other stuff they had.
