“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. The Republican War

Normally I am not overly impressed with political people's assessments of their own political party. However, apparently Meghan McCain is a little more intelligent than I gave her credit for being. She has started becoming a little more vocal in her discussion of the current war within the Republican party. Hopefully the libertarian element wins the day. Regardless, its a interesting read.

She is a sleazy neocon just like her worthless father.

His stupid answers in the debates and his smirking daddies boy grin when spewing anything but truth makes me sick.

His daughter is a robotic trendy follower, neocon liberals with a chip of privilege on their shoulders.

I read more of an emphasis on kowtowing to the whims of whatever is trendy and/or gay from this young woman and far less of an emphasis of getting The Police State reduced to the barest minimum, and yeah, I fear she's just Obama-lite, kinda like her dear daddy, the darling of the media until he secured the GOP nomination.

But I'm a bitter clinger...

To the previous comments: Wow. Just wow.

I like Meghan McCain. I think she is a lot smarter then people assume, and she is quite articulate for her age (She is only 24). She has impressed me very much so for the last few years, and especially since the 2008 campaigns. It's nice to see someone our age who is both politically active, and willing to say "I don't agree with this because..." instead of being unable to actually articulate WHY they don't agree/agree with something.

Again, I wonder what the gal has said of substance, other than be nice to homosexuals and "young people," which the Demoncrats try themselves. I don't hear her saying that government should have a very limited role in our lives, that we should have a strong national defense and borders, and sound money. I really fear she doesn't get it, just like her father. This crap of running just to the right of the loathsome lefties of the democrat party has to stop. Get some *real* conservative candidates who can articulate *real* conservative, limited-government positions, and run 'em, and disregard the ad hominem attacks they'll face from the mainstream media/entertainment complex, a la Tina Fey making fun of Sarah Palin. Most folks in this country are still not Gaia-worshipping, gay-marriage-supporting, urban hipsters, who want Big Brother do give 'em a handout, Ms. McCain, whether you believe it or not.
