quote of the day

Why can't people just make their own bad decisions and, ya know, just live with them?

It is just so much easier to use the force of government to make other people pay for your mistakes.

Listening to NPR on the way to work, there was a story about health insurance. They said that the average family pays $5000 a year for health insurance ( I pay more than that just for very poor policies for my two kids) and of that $5000, $1000 goes to pay medical institutions and doctors for the cost of treating the uninsured. I know people who own homes, multiple vehicles , take trips to Florida and they have no health insurance. That's a decision they made. Yet I am required to pay part of their health care costs. I agree with your premise. Make your decisions, live or die by them, but don't leech off me when they go sour.

TOR, did you see that Silver is at a 9 month high! I knew it was a mistake not to buy more earlier this year!

Hermit, I joined Tricare Reserve Select, cost me like $47 a month. I dropped my other insurance, it was costing me $630/mo. I feel for you man. Now I just need to look into dental.

Some of life's best lessons learned are some of the biggest, messed up mistakes a person can make. The trick is to learn from them and not repeat it.
