WOW

President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. To be honest I feel bad for him on this one. It isn't like he paid $15 and filled out a form to get into the running or anything, someone nominated him. Also it rather blatantly points out that he hasn't done anything for world peace, at all by any possible realistic measure. Not saying he should or anything because his job title isn't "World Peace Faciulitator" but still. Putting him in the same group as people like Mother Teressa and the Dalia Lama is just sort of sad. Without getting into who and what our President is; it is fair to say that when measured against certain people by specific criteria we can all come up a distante last.

I sort of think this is symblematic of larger issues surrounding our President. Again without getting into what he is or isn't he is in fact a man. He can not walk on water or solve long lasting world problems with a meeting and a photo op. If measured by high enough criteria anybody could hypothetically be seen as a total failure. I think there is a distinct chance our President is going to be measured by criteria that nobody could possibly meet.

I was brought up under the preception that it was supposedly, "Government of, for and by the people" now with this leadership, (Look up the work, oxymoron) it seems to be turning into, " Government of, for and by the Government"
I am totally for the idea of going back to where it first started, that being that each indivigual state takes care of themselves and the Federal Government is this little entity in washington that is taken out and used as needed and then put back until needed again.

To paraphrase Thomas Jefferson, whom I believe was the man that said, "Government afraid of the people equals FREEDOM- People afraid of the Government equals tyranny!"

I believe that it is time for us, The American people, to take back control of the government, by any means necessary and kick all of these self serving politicians out on their collective rear ends. I would love to see term limits of 4 years and line item vetos to prevent the insertion of pork and special interest bills onto what we need to survive.

What did he do to deserve this honor? I don't get it. I'm at a total loss for words. Heck, can I nominate myself next year? The rabbit we bought at the pet store has brought peace and harmony to our home. Can I nominate her? Seriously. If the standards are THAT low then I'm nominating my family pet.

I wonder to myself why they did this.. Is the Nobel committee trying to influence the debate over healthcare, carbon tax,the war with islamic extremists? I thought they awarded people for things they have achieved. Maybe they are honoring his achievements like killing the dollar, ruining manufacturing, increasing unemployment, surrendering our sovereignty to the G20.. Go Obama go!

He's NOT in the same catagory as the Dalai Lama, or Mother Teresa.

He's in the same catagory as Jimmuh Carter, AlBore and Yassir Arafat.....posing a-holes who haven't achieved anything but get credit for it

all that was accomplished by awarding this to him was that the significance of all other peace price winners is in effect negated.

additionally, had he been any sort of man-of-honor, he would not accept the award nor the recognition. stating for the lib media that he personally does not deserve such an award but will accept in anyway on behalf of whatever he said is a farce.
