The Different Types of Liberterians

I think Naive is probably my favorite. These people don't know anything about the real world and think that if America cowers in the closet every asshat in the world who hates us will somehow go away. That just isn't reality. You can scare people into leaving you alone or kill them but just wishing they will go away doesn't work. The bizarrely hypocritical are fun also.

And the reply is classic. http://www.joeydevilla.com/2010/07/12/the-24-types-of-authoritarian-or-the-libertarian-response-to-the-24-types-of-libertarian/

Now wait a darn minute - I am and have been a LIBERTARIAN for a lot longer than the internet has been around, longer than cell phones and even pocket calulators. NONE of these description aplly to me of my fellow libertarians I speak to regularly. The bottom line is - least possible amount of government at any level. Stay out of my checkbook, out of my bedroom, out of my house and off my property. As far as I'm concerned laws not designed to protect children and pregnant women are suspect at best (with thanks to R.A.H. & Lazarus Long). If I do something that harms another, THEY should deal with me face to face... and only call, for the JBT as a last resort. BTW - I've been a JBT nearly as long as I've been a libertarian. I STRIVE to be a PEACEKEEPER not Law Enforcer...losts'a pigeon holes on this chart... I fit none.

It's "hypocritical" because government isn't supposed to protect innocent life?

I see the "Naive" as hoping/waiting for TEOTWAWKI as they think that will free them from "wage slavery" and other such historically ignorant nonsense. Yeah, 9-5 can suck. The post-SHTF alternative, however, is more like 0500-dark + early death - benefits, and getting to see your kids die young. Good times.

I'm probably a mildly libertarian constitutional conservative. None of the labels fit exactly and don't have to. Fiscally conservative for sure, socially conservative on most subjects. Not a fan of the out of control spending, but it's probably too late to correct that at this point, all that can be done is to prepare for the consequences.
