Easter Fun

Well I can't say kido knows anything about Easter but he has sure figured out that plastic colored eggs have candy inside. We did the egg hunt thing and dyed some eggs and that is was about it. Kiddo was pretty good considering his sugar consumption was way above the norm. Tomorrow we will have egg salad which I am excited for.

On an unrelated note I saw a cool video over at Zombie hunters. I am over there with my same name theotherryan.

I also saw an interesting thread over on another blog. It is (and you know how these internet things where a guy knew a guy who wrote something and then another person posted it, evaluate the accuracy and merit for yourself) about a guy's experiences during the LA Riots. I am linking to the series of posts. One nuance of the way they published a series of post one after the other is that you have to start at the bottom, go up to the top of the first post, read it all the way down and then scroll up to the beginning of the second one and read it scrolling down then repeat. Anyway while I can't vouch for it's authenticity or lessons learned but it was interesting to read. Anyway those are a couple things you might want to check out. I hope you all have a very nice Easter.

Two things here:
1) TV show
2) TV show

Lee, I think it is interesting to see what different tools are capable of. Kind of like the box of truth but with edged weapons and animal heads.

Re: The purported reminisces of going through the L.A. Riots (I'm stealing your format)
The Good:
There were riots. The Powers That Be screwed the pooch. Preps would have been handy. PPPPPPP.
The Bad: The author got so much so wrong, I seriously doubt they were either sober at the time, or even in the same Time Zone.
The Ugly: The posts had me throwing the "BS" flag so often my arm is in a sling. I couldn't take any more past the 4th delusional installment, but I doubt Pts 5-10 improved materially.
The last time I saw so much fertilizer in one place, a dairy was involved.
I lived in L.A. before, during, and after the riots, and the purported first-person poster sounds like he lived on Mars. What I read bore as much resemblance to reality as "Platoon" did to the Vietnam War: I.e. both are the drug-fueled fantasies of someone who can't find reality through the haze of bong smoke.
If pressed, I would happily explain the real lessons learned, and point out the dozens of factual errors in this most thoroughly televized riot, without resorting to the nonsense the linked series is so full of.
Best Wishes,

@ Aesop, Maybe there were some fish tails or maybe it was all BS, I can't really say. My personal experiences of the LA riots were those of an elementary school kid watching the 6 o'clock news in his quiet PNW home.

If you feel like writing something I would post it.
