Also, the definition of 'terrorist' has been changing quite a bit. I was under the impression a terrorist was a non-gov entity who committed violent acts against non-military/non-gov/non-police targets in order to effect a political change.
Under the current loose definitions of terrorism, any 'resistance' fighter in WW2 who shot a Nazi in the back of the head would have been a terrorist.
