Despite the prevalent view otherwise it does in fact snow in Arizona. Well if you are above 4,000 feet or so anyway. Time to bust out some cold weather gear as it is a somewhat cold 34 degrees F outside.
FYI -- doesn't need to go on the blog comments. Before Dog came into your life you mentioned gardening in AZ. For outdoor and container gardening, there's a lot to be learned at this event in February: http://ag.arizona.edu/cochise/mg/HighDesertConf/ConfHomePage.html
In the past, you could gleen a lot from the vebdor area without having to register for the event.
There are also scholarship available if your bride wants to apply. I think the fort environmental office pays for one for a military family member...
