EDC Contest Entry # 25 Garrett T

Hey Folks, I am pleased to bring another entry for our EDC Contest. First we will quickly recap what is going on. The broad strokes are this. I want to share and discuss the stuff we carry around every day AKA EDC. Taking pictures of our stuff and talking about it is my goal.

The prizes will be as follows:
1st Place: 3 Sport Berkey Water Bottles donated by LPC Survival ($69 value)
2nd Place: 1 Blackhawk Holster donated by LuckyGunner.com ($50 value)
3rd Place:  1 Snare-Vival-Trap cough garote cough donated by Camping Survival ($17 value)

Wildcard: This one goes to whoever I want to give it to for whatever reason I feel like. It will be a grab bag donated by yours truly. The exact makeup is TBD depending on what I have lying around  and may include books, gear, medical stuff or even a couple silver dimes. ($30+  value)

Attached is my entry in you contest. I also attached a pic of a boot knife I periodically carry, but I don't do it enough to really make it count. Looking forward to seeing all the submissions.

-          Kershaw Tremor – I upgraded about a year ago from a Kershaw leek. I got a great deal on the tremor and even though it is a massive knife for EDC, I have been very satisfied. For utility and self defense, it is fantastic.

-          Novelty butane lighter that I bought as a teenager. Not the best lighter around but the flame could melt an aluminum can so it is worth it.

-          Saddleback Leather Wallet – Very durable, great products.

-          Free note pad – Must have with a memory like mine

-          Keys – Include on the ring are clippers, and two Swiss Tech utility items. The Swiss tech gear  has come in handy dozens of times.

-          Recycled thumb sized chapstick container. Used for pills like Tylenol etc.

-          Flash drive with a little tape on it.

-          Cell phone – Yes it is a flip phone. I can’t justify spending money on a data plan when I sit on a computer all day anyway. I don’t need to be that connected.

-          Wedding band on one hand and a bottle opener ring on the other. It has some surprising applications and not just opening a cold one.

-          Pen with light on the end. Looking to upgrade this sometime soon.

-          Pilot Precise V5 ink pen. I love these pens. They will also write on skin in a pinch.

-          Bandana. You all know the reasons.

-          Colt .45 New Agent. The New Agent has gutter sights which make it ideal for concealed carry. I carry with a Clipdraw. Fantastic product, keeps a very low profile and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has trouble with printing. I also like that I can remove the gun when needed and not have to fiddle with a holster. I carry with one in the pipe, seven in the magazine and a spare magazine of seven in my back pocket.

-          A bit of cash with a binder clip as a money clip. Most money clips were too bulky and there are dozens of uses for a binder clip if you are resourceful.

Not shown is the boots I wear and anything I carry in my jackets. I ride a motorcycle for half the year so I add a bit more to the load out then. Plus there is the jacket itself which I theorize could turn a blade, but I'm not gonna test that.
